The LCC – Bais Basic Education Department envisions to be a functional laboratory for the training of future servant-leaders who will become critical stewards and prophetic witnesses in their families, school and immediate communities of the world.
In collaboration with the home, community, the church and other social institutions, the Basic Education Department commits to:
- Provide the learners with challenging teaching and learning experiences that enable them to lead and respond to the demands of the changing world;
- Lead in establishing a learner-centered environment that will develop the students’ communicative, collaborative, creative and critical thinking skills;
- Establish a community of friends consisting of administrators, teachers, parents, students, and other stakeholders imbued with Catholic Augustinian spirituality;
- Articulate the development of the physical, spiritual, intellectual, psychosocial, cultural and creative dimensions of the learners;
- Support instruction with information and communication technology to improve contemporary student learning; and
- Ensure the competence of the academic personnel through their Christian witnessing, professional qualifications and commitment to holistic learner development.
Goal
The overall goal of the elementary level is to facilitate the pupils’ basic integral formation of mind, body, and spirit that will prepare them to become responsible stewards.
Objectives
- To equip learners with fundamental knowledge, skills, attitudes and values essential to their holistic development through quality teaching and learning experiences;
- To create opportunities which will increase the pupils’ social awareness and prepare them for constructive and effective involvement in the family, school and community;
- To respond to the needs of the poor but deserving pupils by providing them access to affordable and quality elementary education regardless of religion, gender, creed and race;
- To provide pupils with experiences that will allow them to witness in their daily lives, the gospel message of love, peace and justice as expressed in the virtues of compassion and community service; and
- To engage pupils in simple investigative activities that will harness their analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.

The goal of the secondary level is to prepare the students for the demands of higher education and train them to become potential servant-leaders and prophetic witnesses in the communities.
Objectives
- To provide access to quality Catholic Basic Secondary Education which will empower students to respond to the challenges of higher learning regardless of religion, creed and race;
- To offer training in personal discipline and transformative leadership through the enhancement of the students’ solidarity with the poor and the marginalized;
- To create learning opportunities which will develop the students’ critical and analytical, analytical, collaborative and communicative skills; and
- To provide students with learning experiences that will allow them to witness in their daily lives, the gospel message of love, peace and justice as expressed in the virtues of compassion and community service thereby leading others to God.
